Digital bokrelease: Creation and the Crisis - theological reflections from Africa on Climate Change and the response of the Church

We are very excited to invite you to a digital book-release of the book Creation and the Crisis – theological reflections from Africa on Climate Change and the response of the Church. The meeting will take place Tuesday 13th May at 13:00 (Swedish time).

During the webinar the book will be presented by some the authors. The webinar is in English and is hosted by Andreas Dagernäs and Johan Newman.

About the book:

Creation and the Crisis – theological reflections from Africa on Climate change and the response of the Church, is a collection of articles with theological reflections on climate change from an African perspective. Based on the Bible and the African context, various authors seek answers to meet the ongoing climate change and its consequences for people in Africa. The book is the result of the multi-year program that Interact has implemented together with its partner churches in Africa to provide tools to meet climate change. The efforts have involved education, tree planting, cultivation techniques, etc. Part of the project has been to provide space for theological reflection on creation, human responsibility and the role of the church in meeting disasters in the wake of climate change. The book is a result of the theological process. Our hope is that the book will become a useful tool for further reflection, both for churches in Africa as well in Sweden and other parts of the world.
